It is, official statements released, threads on the steam forums about this quickly deleted and told not to be recreated, it is real. I've seen the files that madoxX uploaded from the steampowered servers and they seem pretty real to me. another image too image 2 If it was a fake, why do valve want to keep this covered up so badly?

madoxX's site got taken down a few days after the sitehack was released but there is news on most major gaming sites about it (fpsbanana.com)
