ok, I put my computer on stand-by when not using it...

I leave it on there for 30 minutes, click a key on the keyboard, it comes back to life, but the network is screwed... I try to repair it, change IP, everything. the only way I can get the network back up is if I restart, then it goes back to normal

    my thoughts:

when the computer goes to sleep for a prolonged time, my nic is brain dead until i do CPR....

I'll try getting a new pci nic, see if that helps...

    anyone know a solution?
