I wanted to try this camtasia thing out, so here it goes...

Small version: (800x600 at 2.16mb's [low quality])

Big version: (1280x1024 at 2.46mb's [high quality])

NOTE: I said with 2+gb RAM remove it all together, if you get any blue screens (of death!!!) after that just put it back to a set amount, or system managed.

I knew that already. Nice though.

Did you know that you can go to the registry editer and create more than one paging file on one drive. You can make as many as you want also.

Probably because then it takes memory for the system to retreive that data. But it would work for a system with like 256.

I have 256 and by doing a lot of tweaking and doing that I can run Half life 2 and css without lag. I have to use these startup options though.

    -dxlevel 70 -w 800 +r_rootlod 2 - +mat_picmip 2 - +mat_reducefillrate 1 - +r_waterforceexpensive 0 - +r_shadowrendertotexture 1 - +mat_colorcorrection # 0 - +mat_trilinear 0 - +mat_hdr_level 0 -novideo -heapsize 256000 +map_background none

Basically that is setting everything on low

also disabling backgorund services help that use up RAM.
and virus scanners and syware check stuff and less intensive screensavers.

doesn't really speed up computer, but clears some space...

go to Start > Run then type "%temp%" and delete all the files in there.

and go to My Computer, right click on Local Disk and then click "Disk Cleanup" and make sure Temporary Internet Files" is checked. :P

and you can go to "start>run>msconfig and services tab and disabel stuff

    this helps also

    Start>run> type" %SystemRoot%\system32\services.msc /s "

    and disable services from there

I have read both of those and used them. I have read so many things because i have 256 RAM and speeding my PC is something i need to do. I think with all the stuff I have done it's basically like a 756 RAM PC now. After u do that something that helps give more ram is like a RAM freeing program. There are a ton out there.
