Sound Recording Program

    is there a program that i can run on my computer that records
    audio files
    like if i play a youtube movie and run the program
    it will record the sounds and i can save it as like midi or mp3

    try Audacity

    i'm not sure if it'll record the sound from a streaming video though

    just live record it, take a plug from audio out and connect it to audio in and us MS sound recorder.

    thanks a million it worked great
    but i need some lame_enc .dll
    file to save stuff as mp3 any idea where to get that?

    btw audacity is free and last forever?
    or is it 30 day trial

    ok i found lame myself but theres this thing on the bottom
    and it says like 38 hours and 43 min of recording left
    when that goes to zero does it stop working?

    that just means that that's the limit of how long u can record PER RECORDING

    i'm pretty sure u won't be recording for 38 hours for one file lol
