Alright.. well I opened a song from my desktop and it started playing in music match or w/e that program is called, I closed it and then from that point on my sound hasn't been working at all.
I tried volume adjustments, but nothing works.
Anyone know a way to solve this? I have also tried restarting, shutting down, etc.

Chek if there's something wrong with the driver of your sound card/on board sound (I've had trouble with the driver MS supplies for AC97 audio). To do this right click on my computer -> properties -> hardware -> device manager -> click the plus beside sound, video and ame controllers and see if there is an exclamation mark beside any of the things listed there. If there is an exclamation mark beside Realtek AC'97 Audio, then right click on it, and roll back the driver (presuming you have on board audio)

Update your drivers, that should be working.
