Could someone name some good sound editing programs? They don't have to be free.

What do you mean by sound editing like programs which you can change a sound to make it sound different eg.

Normal Voice to Squeeky or Robotic.

If this is the type of program i need to find one to.

No, like basically a recording studio in a program. Where I can mix songs together and put them in one track.

I would reccomend Audacity. I've been using the 1.3 Beta version for a few days now and it's better than some programs you pay for.

Can this program cut sections out of the sounds? For example, I have an MP3 which I would like to use as a ringtone on my cell phone.. Trouble is, it takes like 1minute to kick in, by which time I would have answered the phone already. So, I want to delete that first 1minute..

Think this program would work for that? And if not, any idea where I can find one which does this?
