    thats a good suggestion i think [/b][/quote]
    we went through this before
can't because some people will pay the voters to vote for that certain person
and it wouldn't be fair :P

the mods do great jobs in choosing the winners, who the hell cares if you dont win.

u guys gotta stop whining. now SOTW's r down cause of u guys. even if a sig looks VERY good to u guys doesnt mean it does to everyone else, especially the judges. let the judges do their thing cause they knoe about it more than us. if we have people voting that dunno much about photoshop voting, that will be a disaster like in the battle arena. yea i admit broken's was good but the judges must have a reason on why they didnt vote on his.

no offence broken XD, like ur work.

Yeah guys. You're all acting childish. You knew there was a topic for discussing winners for SOTW, yet you still bitch and moan. Next time, why don't you keep it to yoursleves.

like i sed before i was just about to enter this upcoming SOTW...
i wanted to see if my sigs were as good as i thought they were and if not then keep tryin and learning new stuff...

now my chances are pushed back but i think the best thing to do is just to wait it out and let boiling waters calm..

if mods see this we will get our SOTW back and all will be happy and new things will be tried..

    hopefully it is soon though

This will probably be my last statement in this thread. :)

Addressing the topic of a judging panel, created from members here at GameRenders.

The moderators here are chosen to double as judges for the same reasons that they were given moderator privileges. They are unbiased and vote purely on what the criterion states. In this case, it is and always will be a matter of opinion. In our SOTW Voting thread, no two people have the exact same list. In fact, it varies quite a bit. This is substantial proof that the judging team, composed of moderators, is not biased, and do not always vote a certain way. Those of you wondering why the "veterans" are always taking home a trophy, just think about it. They've been here for awhile. They have improved their graphics skills. They know what to do, and they can do it well. Patience is a virtue. Stick around and keep working at it, and you'll walk away with a trophy too.

Now, to the real issue. The problem with a judging panel is that some, not all, but some, of the members here are insatiable. I'm sure you all understand why we cannot have judges that are affiliated with the "crews" here at GR (New Order, Next Level, etc.). That is because these people will be inclined to vote for people in their crew. I understand that many of you are probably thinking "I wouldn't do that!" You'd be surprised. And, the second problem comes in because of that. Between New Order and Next Level, most of the experienced designers here have been sucked up. This would leave our juding panel to be composed of inexperienced and relatively new people. I have no doubt in my mind that this would lead to complaining about the caliber of the judges, and whether they have any right to be judging the SOTW.

So, until further notice, that's the way it is. Good night. :)

Well if sucky judging happens here more than once, and the majority of the people (n00bs and not n00bs) disgree with the voting, then obviously teh judges are n00bs and need to be replaced. Oh wait I forgot! This is GR. Nevermind. ;Q

so was it down because people were saying they dont like the winners or because they should have placed, or both? still sucks that this has to happen, i never post in the winners thread. oh well hope they will learn their lesson.
