and i'll be installing the 64 bit version fresh onto my new build

i've heard that wireless adapter drivers are pretty pissy for the 64 bit version; i'd like to stick with linksys as the rest of our network gear is linksys

    will the WMP54G work?

    also

is there any graphics card coming out that's double the performance of an 8800GT at 1440 by 900? all of the cards i've seen offer only small increases or no increases at that res. :\

any recommendations would be great as to my build, most of which i have already purchased over the preceding months:

2 400GB western digital SATA hard drives (to be used in RAID 1)
    gigabyte EP45-DS3R mobo
    PNY 8800GT graphics card
    corsair TX750 PSU
    antec three hundred case

    yet to buy:

    intel E8400
    4 GB of ram

please keep in mind, i'm unlikely to upgrade to a bigger monitor resolution.

At 1440x900 you'll find most video card upgrades overkill, but the HD4850 really is the sweet spot for that resolution. Otherwise the rest of your choices are good.
