Details have just emerged on what exactly PSP owners can expect to do with their PSPs in the coming year and boy, does it look enticing. We covered the proposed hook-up between Sony and Sky last month and that service, along with others, is now set to go under the Go! brand. There are three key services on the way. Movies & TV The Go! Video Download Service, due early 2008, will offer users the chance to receive movies, music, sport and other programmes via WiFi. Surprisingly for a Sony launch, the UK & Ireland is getting this service first. Sat-Nav Go! Explore, due next year, is a new sat-nav service for the PSP with TeleAtlas and NavNGo. This will essentially turn your PSP into a “pedestrian or in-car” GPS sat-nav device. The key features are: * Multiple Languages 11 languages * Find & Go Easy Search & Smart Keyboard * Smart Zoom Automatic Zooming & Tilting * Explore Map Search & Explore the map * Points Of Interest 100 categories, with thousands of locations * My Data Favourites, Home, History * Route Settings Fastest/Shortest; Day/Night Mode; * Improved Graphics 3D city maps & 3D landmarks; * Customisable settings Customisable Route Settings & Visuals * Itinerary Mode Turn-by-turn overview * 7 geographic versions confirmed (with country maps, hundreds of 3D landmarks and thousands of POIs available) : UK/Ireland; Iberia; France; Germany/Austria/Switzerland; Italy; Benelux; Scandinavia Comms A deal with BT will see the launch of the Go! Messenger service. If you have a headset and a Go! Cam, you’ll be able to make video calls, voice calls, and do instant messaging. According to Sony, Go! Messenger will allow over 8.5 million PSP users to communicate with each other free via any WiFi connection.-Martin Lynch
nah i had two psp's and threw them in moments of rage... im going to wait for nvidia to release a handheld gaming and multi function device.. or sopme other big name...although nvidia HAVE already got that quark phone which looks to be pretty good
