    <s>Ones striked out have already gone through/in the works...

    1. Member Post Count does seem to go up in "Introductions" ; when i believe its not suppose to. Same goes with credits

    </s>

    2. As GameRenders has grown, so has certain aspects of it, like how much stuff is worth, etc. As Llam has already done, the "click-to-pay" service was reduced from 5 credits, to 2. I think some more store items/prices changes are in order to help keep up w/ members credits, and give us more incentive to particpate in GameRenders.

    (well holy ----, just realized you can buy the ibstore mod in the store now, thats a new feature, nice thinkin' Llam)

    • Want to include the reputation system for both v1.3, and 2.0x ; and Arcade for both versions, and i'll also be glad to include a 120 game pack to put in the store(i'll be sending that to you soon to add to the Premium Arcade, Llam)

    • Maybe change the variables of the random money from 0 to 1,000 ; and up the price to 500, or make it a seperate item- for the richer or more dangerous ones.

      <s>

    • Under "Other Member Items"- Make it possible to buy an Premium Member account? The price is maybe 3,000 credits. Seems kind of low, but you can buy them for around 1,000 in the Marketplace most of the time, so 3,000 seems fair. Thats up to you Llam.</s>

    • Change the price of the forum advertising item from 400 to at least 800. Isn't this one of the benefits of being a Premium Member? Don't let regular members get it for so cheap lol

      <s>
    • I'm willing to help with the "Free Invision forum Mod installation"; i'll PM you w/ information on that though Llam.</s>

      <s>

    • Restock the "Mystery Box" please ^_^ </s>

    • w/ update with a few more ideas in BOLD

    3. Arcade tournaments needs to be looked at alittle more. I joined one when i first joined GR, and its still going. I think its possible for mods to govern this, i'll have to check the settings on a test forum.

    <s>4. Render staff: No, not MOD staff, render staff. Members put into access in only those forums, no others. They'd have access to both forums, so should be able to move topics from either forum. You could have some incentive, maybe 2 mods max. This gives a chance for mods to focus on other activities, for most of the mods: a chance to learn new programs, and focus on their shops. *wiinks at G70</s>*

    <s>5. With the new banner contest, several other ideas come in mind. Seems like GameRenders hasn't had a new splash in awhile, and maybe its time for a new contest after the current one is over ;)</s>

    <s>6. Almost 25,000 members; I think a "prune" of member names needs to be done. Deleting members w/ a certain amount of post. This would get rid of all those members w/ "0" post, and free up tons of name. Yes, it'd probally cut GR's members in half, but it'd free up space, and help future members, by easily choosing a name. I wish Yahoo and MSN did this w/ their emails=P</s>

    7.
    Can that be changed to affect all "Battles"? I challenged someone to an Invision Power Board challenge, and someone else challenged me. We could also challenge people to Yahoo/ Pool / Halo / etc challenges. Maybe make this a sub-category, to keep them seperate from graphic challenges.

    <s>8. Add the mod that sends messages to new members, this should limit spam somewhat; in the message you can provide links to the "GR Starter Kit" and "Introductions." You could also provide links to the rules, and welcome members to GR! This should make GR seem more friendly, and help keep even more members! Nevermind...The mod is for v2.0x, i'm going to try to port it back to version v1.3x for GR's use.</s>

    <s>9. How many times have some of the members here at GR signed up for a site, and then leave because it was a bit slow at the time, or going through problems? I wonder how many members registered for GameRenders when it first opened, and haven't checked it back again? Maybe sending a MASS email to all registered GR members, and remind them they are still joined here, and all the new features, and inviting them to become a Premium Member, etc :wub: Never know. </s>

    <s>10. Premium Members get an extra category in the store (adding on to that *incentive* thing ) or a discount off products in the store! The discount would be the easiest thing, and doesn't have to be anything big, 5% or 10%</s>

    <s>11. Time for some new Group titles! Maybe when GR gets its new skin, a contest can be made for Admin, Moderator, and Premium Member! I know a few members didn't seem to like the Premium one, and would give them a chance to try their own!</s>

    12. To get some free advertising, why not create a Premium Member name for a company, and then email their editor/CEO with the Name and pw, and ask they come and join our site for a free look! GameWallPapers did this to several Computer Magazines/web sites, and their site seems to be taking in a nest egg very well ;)

    13. extremepixels and transverse styles are always looking for new competitions to sponsor, they both recently sponsored a contest at ibhelpers.com.

    My idea is basically simple, its up to the staff to help, and for bratzer; it would mean alittle bit more work. Every week, their is a new SOTW, correct? Every month, have the 4 SOTW winners in a vote, and the best one will win a prize of credits, etc.

    As this gets going, each month you can have different companies offer prizes for the winner, you'd be suprised at how many companies will line up. I know my IPB company Invisioneers would be willing to offer some custom work, if this eventually got going.

    <s>14. The current GameRenders gallery is pretty outdated, and I can imagine why. Why not purchase the Invision Power Board Gallery, and support a "Premium Render" Gallery; renderers would be able to upload their staff, with Moderators and Admins approving renders. You can set limits on the gallery, I believe; such as how many post it takes to be able to see it, upload size limit, etc. The gallery can be split into categories ranging from cars, anime, to *adult*. Instead of the IPB gallery, Dean's Downloads System would work better as Mayur has suggested. Because it'd offer a *search* function, to easily be able to look for a render or what not. Though i do not agree bout being allowed to upload brushes and everything ;)</s>

    <s>15. The sub-forum under Marketplace, "Services" be moved to the main page, and renamed GR Shops & Services, or something catchy. The current Services forum doesn't get as much business, since most people don't take the time to even look there. Moving it to the front page, under Marketplace would be overall IMHO. <--thanks 4nub1s for the idea</s>

    <s>16. To cut down on spam, and also take off the spam filter</s>, I think GameRenders(Llam) should install the "Thank you" mod.

    The concept is quite easy; this mod adds a "Thanks!" button next to Add Reply & New Topic, and compiles the list of Thanks in one message, that is easy to read, and gives the "thank you" for the render, help, etc...without having to post.

    Thats the first part, the second part would be where mods come in: If anyone is caught(if the spam filter was taken off and this mod installed) saying "ty for render", etc...they would be banned from posting for a day, for the first offense, etc.

    A tough verdict, but it would get rid of complaints of the spam filter, give an ability to thank someone for a render, and reduce the spam in the render section to only tips/suggestions.

    Not so many this time, i'll try to update with a few more as I think of the right way to word them. ;)

    *Edit*This is a list of suggestions i recently posted in the STAFF SECTION; but i'll release them to the GR public for opinions. I've edited a few out just because of certain aspects ;)

    <s>18) MORE GAMES IN THE ARCADE! Theirs no point in having the arcade if we're not going to stock it well Joe i've spent you tons of games, and i can get you alot more if needed. Rarely do these lag down the site, and it always bring more active members. I also think all scores should be deleted monthly; and a prize given to whoever is the general arcade champion(something similar to the prizes of the SOTW; nothing to big, but enough to give some fun and competition </s>

    <s>19) Pruning of the members. At least delete anyone who has joined before February 1st, 2005 and has 0 post. Also delete anyone in the validation group(people that registered but never got the registration code in their email).</s>

    20) These are the Premium membership "extras" i liked the most:
    - new Premium Banner
    - Premium download pack
    <s>- more admin / mod sponsered contests for premium memberships and credits( POKER TOURNAMENTS ANYONE? wo0t wo0t)</s>
    - exclusive downloads for Premium Members
    - Credits per person who becomes Premium? <-that would be quite a chore to get the current Premium Members the credit; but its feasable.
    <s>- Premium only gallery sounds good to me. Its workable, and i know its easy to setup with Invision Gallery (insert shameless plug)</s>
    <s>- Discount for items in store for Premium members. Nothing big, but even 5% would be nice (or 50% for moderators )</s>
    <s>- zomg was about a gamerenders email? (my own idea)...i'd love to
    have a [email protected] i can use. Joe has cPanel/WHM i'm pretty sure, so that usually means unlimited amount of email addresses.</s>
    - Premium members can upload images of upto 2MB instead of 1.

    <s>21) Raise the reputation system from 100 post to 250; so less problems overall.</s>
    <s>
    22) I think moderators should have the power to fine/edit members points. I know its a IBStore setting in Invision Power Board; and would help things get solved faster.</s>

    <s>23) Time to add a few more categories to GameRenders. Here's the following setup i think we should have, with the new areas/forums that have been moved in bold.

    - Is the forum name
    -- Are subforums
    In bold are the new forums. This is a few days old, since we just originally changed the IRC forum around.

    (I still miss the old setup Was so easy to check for new post, one click..3 forums. Considering that is one of the most active forums, that comes in handy when moderating)

    24) Here's a few contest ideas:
    • Premium Tag contest( for Premiums only )
    • Lottery/ raffle for Premium Members only
    • New Splash page contest
    • New forum banner contest
    With the new tournament system, it will be possible to run major tournaments with ease. So i think with the new GR forum, its time we run the first tournament.
    • 250 people(one week to sign up)
    • 100 credits buy-in fee to enter. This pays for the prizes
    • Each round of the tournament will feature a different style of signature/or some sort of "set" theme for signatures, to actually challenge people in each round, and actually help them develop as a 'artist'
    • Each round of the tournament will last one week. 5 days to work on your signature, with 2 days for people to come and vote on the best signature between your opponent and you..and then the night of the 7th day, the winner will be decided, and next weeks theme will be announced.
    • Who votes: Each round of voting can be done two ways, i'll let you guys decide how. 1) Staff votes on the early round, and then its open in the final round to everyone..or 2) vice versa; opened to public for early voting, then staff does the final voting
    Prizes:

    250 people, with 25 people getting prizes. Lets do it poker style, splitting up 25,000 credits.
    • 1st place - 7,500 credits & chance to help GameRenders more in a few future plans(SOTW Moderator, help with the Download system, ...alot of things we need help with, and who better then someone with enough graphical knowledge to beat 249 other people, at a site with 40,000+ people? :P
    • 2nd place - 3,250 credits & a Premium Membership
    • 3rd place - 2,000 credits& a Premium Membership
    • 4th place to 25th receives 500 credits and a mystery box item
    The tournament system only allows 32 people per tournament, so we would have to run 8 of them via the tournament system, and then one final one with all the winners from each 'branch' of the tournament, which would be 8 people squaring off.

    Whats the benefit of the tournament? Finally some competition :D It'll be a great way to promote the new GameRenders, it'd be the biggest signature tournament to my knowledge, so great advertising & word of the mouth. We can also use it to our benefit of stocking the download system, with the 8 people in the final round possibly uploading their PSDs. I'm glad to run the entire tournament, since i don't create signatures...and won't be entering. Staff is allowed to enter, they will just not be allowed to vote at all obviously.

    If www.sigoftheweek.com can get good advertisers and sponsors for prizes, GR sure can...

    Think about that one ;)

    For the intermediate and pro battles you could set the min postcount to 250 posts or 500 posts which would make that area more exclusive :) other than that great suggestions BFTP :)

    Why would you have a spamfest section though if you're posts don't count..that would just be..lame.
