I turned in my paperwork for the army today. I have to go next saturday for my physical. I am only 17, and have to wait for my diploma before I get sent off to Basic Training. I signed up for 19K (M1 Armor Crewman) and I go to Fort Knox, KY for BCT (Basic Combat Training) in a little less than a year. I'm pretty excited about it, and a year gives me a good amount of time to get into shape. I was just excited about it and thought I would share with you guys. EDIT: And please don't manage to turn this into a flame war, I didn't put this into the Last Word for a reason.
Well, I was really thinking into doing that as well, until i saw a documentry on HBO on soldiers who got seriously injoured at iraq, so i changed my mind.. but good luck to you and please, come back in one piece
When they say don't touch the duds on the artillery range.. they really mean Kick Them ... Kick Them Hard. But good luck. I know a lot of people that enlisted. You should have gone through ROTC it starts you off one rank higher I believe and increases your pay.
