Smudging?

    I tried many times and it just doesn't work - I got the default brushes and whenever I smudge, it comes out very weird - advice?

    When you open up the smudge tool, on your top right, there are 3 tabs. Click the tab that says "Brushes" (this can also be done through you top bar, Windows>Brushes) and play around with the settings, focusing on the brush size and the scattering.
