    I'm trying to work on this smudge but I think I still have something wrong about it.

    not a bad start, but you need to work on the colors and the smudge variety (it all looks pretty much the same)

    Pretty much monotone
    Text doesn't go with the whole tag look

    try using some different brushes and settings and opacity for variations.
    some different shades of color can help too

    i can see a guy or something in the smudge,
    that looks cool :-)
