    My PC takes a long time to start up. Then it opens MSN, AIM and some other crap, any ideas on how to make it start faster, I dont mind it loading AIM though.

    go to start. Then RUN.

    and type: MSconfig.exe

    then click on Start Up, and uncheck all the things you don't want to start up when your computer starts.

    Then restart your computer :)

    Also get rid of fonts you don't use, they REALLY slow your computer down.

    Or if you want to be more specific on what you want to turn off, you can type Regedit in the run command. Local machine, Software, Microsoft, Windows, Current Version, Run. You can turn off many things in there, but you shouldn't do that unless you have some idea of what you are doing, because you could turn off something that you need.

    And your boot sector might be fragmented.

    Open Run.

    type cmd.

    type defrag c:-boot
