I know you'll probably need my PC specs.. So, here.

    Windows XP Home Edition
    Intel Pentium 4 2.8GHz (800MHz FSB)
    512MB Dual Channel DDRam.
Intel Integrated Extreme 2 Graphics (64MB)
ATi Radeon 9250, 256MB PCI. (My motherboard sucks)

I listed both graphics cards because the problem happens with both of them.. Okay, let's begin.

I notice slight freezes when I refresh pages in IE and Mozilla... When I open programs, minimize programs, maximize programs.. Basically, anything that involves an action/animation. This is roughly a new problem... It didn't used to happen. I'm not running too many programs or using up a bunch of my CPU either. I've ran all of the diagnostic tests in dxdiag, and I passed all of them.

Any idea why this is happening? Is a part in my PC going bad or something?

    1. your ram is hanging, because windows is using close to all of it at once.

1a. go to start -> run -> type msconfig -> go to the startup tab, uncheck anything you do not need or not sure what it is. you can always revive it if needed.

1b. did you run spyware (adaware, spybot, ewido) or virus (avg, avast) checks lately?

1c. try to get at least 1gb of ram (2x512), if the above didnt fix it.

    1a. Already done.

    1b. Yes.

1c. I've been meaning to... Don't have the money right now. So, upgrading to 1GB should fix it?

Do a scandisk on your partitions. Should speed up your system abit. Also maybe clear your cache

then your windows has been raped... if you have a XP CD, put it in, boot off it, press a key when it asks you to boot off the CD,

after its done copying files, press enter, F8, and "R" to perform a repair install.

*this will NOT hurt your personal files. It only touches your system files*

note: you will need your serial key..
