California had a 5.6 earthquake this morning, and I didn't feel a thing...

Lived in California almost 2 years, and have yet to feel an earthquake. Personally, I would rather go through a big Tordnado, then an earthquake, because then you can see what your running from.

    So..

    Earthquake or Tornado?

Well being from Texas. I would much rather go through a Tornado than fell the ground move. That is just wrong. THE GROUND IS NOT SUPPOSED TO MOVE, in my opinion.

very true. In a tornado for instance, throw your self in a ditch, and hold on to the grass, and the tornado can't pick u up, cuz of the curve in ditch. And in an earthquake, like hydrogen said, the ground is not supposed to move.

Yeah my friend slept through a tremor, it wasn't really much though.

I'd rather go through a tornado cuz I think earthquakes cause more damage.

Yeah, I was just like 20 or so miles away from the epicenter. o.o
I was awake getting dressed and put some AXE on. That's when I felt the quake... the AXE effect works! :0

edit: Oh yeah, some stock at a Wal-Mart Supercenter fell off the shelves. :D

Rather have a tornado. A earthquake could cause more widespread damage.

I live in the netherlands and we've had like 1/2 minor earthquakes in like 10 years in the entire country, We never had tornado's as far as i know of.

So i don't know what causes more damage or is more dangerous, but if i have to believe previous posts i'd rather be in a tornado.

I'm mildly deaf, so the gunshot might wake me up.

Also have to realize the epicenter was far, far away from me.

    Maybe an hour or 2?

nah cuz if you werent effected by the earthquake, and that was pretty high on the richterscale then wtf I rather have that since the smallest tornade will do alot more dmg since it have to fill some requirements to be called a tornado.

hmmm...a tornado would be more dangerous, cuz if you get caught in one...teh chances of living throught it are maybe umm... .5/10.....reason being is because a tornado caryy's lots of things. and in the rotations, the things it carrys can crush or kill u or something. If not that, it will chink ur ass so far and what are the chance of living through that?

But i'd still rather be in a tornado
