C'mon, it leaves a mark on a rail? I dont really go and look around after marks of people skateboarding do I?
Its a way of transportation, and its a sport.
    See it in this way:
A runner jumps up at a ledge, no one cares.
A skateboarder jumps down some steps, everyone is like: OMGzz, CRAZY d00d. get out of here!

    Lol.

Do you think skateboarding is a crime? Illegal or legal?

It's fine, it's just a way of transport, there's as much wrong with it as a bike...

Illegal...its annoying to see kids skateboarding all over the place...especially when they have no regard for traffic...and the *ahem* skater scene is almost as awesome as being emo...and girls do not find it impressive that you can do tricks on a board with 4 wheels...they'd find it impressive if you got a job and a car...unless you're actually making money from skateboarding...then I can see it as a business venture...otherwise...gtfo

Have you never seen at skateboarding as a hobby?

You probably have no idea what emo stands for, and neither I'm going to try and tell you what it means unless youre asking for it.

I don't mind skateboarding at all until they are destroying public property with it. I see more damage done with skateboards from skateboarders than any other sport.

Saying skateboarding is illegal is dumb. Actually, i'dd like to skateboard myself, it's just that here in Portugal skateboarding isn't that easy to go into, as there's not much shops, skating shoes and stuff is a fashion therefore expensive and skating areas to train are rare aswell.

Of course not, but its hard to punish a few people when so many get away with it, its much easier for a government to outlaw the sport to just stop it from happening period.

Theres a difference in going to a skatepark and skateboarding down the streets...If you go to a skatepark and skate there...its a hobby...a pastime. Skateboarding down the street and endangering people as well as having potential to ------ up property that isnt yours...isnt a hobby...it is annoying. If you're using it as a form of transportation from point A to point B...theres no purpose in grinding on rails...if you want to grind on rails...go setup something in your backyard.

Skateboarding is the same as bicycles, only it looks a lot cooler when you actually do some stuff on it. You clear some steps on a bmx, no-one gives, but you ollie over a 16 set? Boom. !LOLCRAZY KID TBH!
I think it's just a method of transport, but it doesn't really impress me that much. I only think its sweet cuz of Tony Hawks. Lol.
