belongs in off topic... tags are the excuse for more "artistic" peoples sigs that name it differently to make themselves sound better, they are the same thing. they mak the excuse the actual image is called a tag and it is placed into a signature, but meh. tagnitures are just some peoples wannabe sly response to mixing tags and signatures together to make something in between, as you can see it hasnt really caught on lol

I unno, someone who has the desire to make their internet ego raise because they think they brought something to it? I'm not sure, i personally find it 100% pointless. Also it wasnt made here, it was made elsewhere and it migrated here. Eventually im going to start calling it something common like, "shoe" simply to throw people off.

Tag were there way before sig (as the actual image). We are referring to sig the wrong way. Tagnature doesn't exist either.
Who cares. Proclude, Tagnature are both stupid because they are too long. Both Tag and Sig are fine so stop whinging.
no, you would think that because of what you think a tag is, but sadly, signatures were around far before tags were. A signature was in the first e-mail, it says, "signed by <first name> <last name>" Basically meaning the signature has been around since the internet first came around. As to my knowledge, a tag is an image placed in a signature, so therefore the signature had to exist before the tag.
Signatures have been around since paper and ink contracts were made. Not the same thing? Yeah it is. It's just what you put under each post showing that it's your post, just like a written signature is to show it's your approval of the contract or whatever. I'm going to start call my tag/sig my 'who cares' soon.
