The reason dor finding our his identity is so that he can be banned from Signature-Arts.

But you're right jball, its totally alright to go around and ruin hard working sites reputation.

You are completely missing my point. If he has done nothing wrong, then the "ruined" reputation can be restored.

Okay, this is what you do if you want to know who this person is. You have the owner contact Llamaman and ask him for the IP (or host mask) of the spammer. He then can identify the culprit on the S-A forums. This doesn't involve the GR community, so why bring it up?

Ultimately the site IS to blame. Again, he's offering moderator status for bringing in users. How do you bring in users? You advertise. One of the ways to advertise is spamming. Sure, S-A probably doesn't endorse spamming of forums to get users, but ultimately he caused it to happen.

If he wants to get S-A's good reputation back, all you have to do is have him come in and explain himself. If some refuse to believe him, then it's their loss, and it's not someone you want on your forums, anyways. Another way to fix the reputation is to change the rules on becoming a moderator, as I already stated.

he has already made a post on his forums stating anyone caught advertising thorugh pm will not be given a chance to be a mod ect... so he already has tried to act upon this.

He can come here and apologize too. That's how you regain your reputation. You don't just expect people to read an apology on your own site when nobody is going to view it if they are pissed at the site.

He's sleeping atm. but i assure you if he was awake.. he would be here right now apologising.

You wouldn't meet a nicer guy.

Although i still think it should be the spammer apologising and not him.

Then the community should have no problems accepting his apology, and then S-A will regain it's reputation.

Tweety76, are you a moderator at Signature-Arts? If so, send me a PM. If you aren't, tell a staff member to send me a PM. I can get his IP for you and we can sort this out.
