I think if people followed the guidelines set by the moderators/admins, there wouldn't be a problem, but look at the signature above my post. it's a utterly waste of space, filled with tons of unnecessary information, if you want to share your instant messenger services, why don't use the profil page for this, it's one of the reason why such a board like this includes a profil page.. And for all of those who says that it's allright having a 500px+ in height signature, have you ever considered the pain scrolling through tons of useless thing, I'm not complaining over the speed, i'm complaining over that I'm forced to scroll through endless unimportant information in those signature, and my display resoolution is 1600x1200, and still I feel like scrolling forever sometimes, just two read about 25 posts. what about all those with a resolution smaller than mine... btw. that was just my humble opinion on the subject..
^ do me a favor budy, go into the page to edit signatures, then in the space were u would type it in, go right under it and click on (check lenght). youll probably c that u can have a sig of up to 50000 characters, so just do me a favor and go complain to the mods all u want, even complain to admin. if they want it shorter they can change the lenght alowed. but just to make u happy i made it a little smaller.
if it takes a long time to load up on cable then your conection is crappy i have cable and it loads right up

the idea is that your sig area shouldnt stretch the table cell if you post a two liner. so the TOTAL sig area, including ALL sigs, ALL empty lines and ALL text should not stack higher then 450 pixels. and the total kb size (of avatar and total sigs) should stay below 601kb so no 1Mb video sigs

Having too many images in your signature makes it look untidy. Try to put 1 or 2 of your very best works in your signature, no more. Looking at this from a bandwidth perspective, if you can save your sig as a .jpg without comprimising too much image quality then I recommend you do (it can in many instances significantly reduce file size). If your sig does exceed a reasonable size, we will cut it down, we will reprimand members if they persist in keeping unreasonably large signatures. On a forum like this, it is height not width that is the prime concern. You can afford to make your sigs quite wide, but please make them short in height where possible.

[/b][/quote] thanks Llamaman, garret, trust me, I made sure to check before mentioning a limit. mine is 415 high, with a tallest sig showing (a 150 high one). like Llamaman said, a sig area will attrack staff attention if its one huge image or many "personal" sigs stacked with loads bla text. with personal I mean like sigs with yer name, like you are using the sig area as a gallery with "your current" "your latest" "your best" "your whateverest" know what I mean like L4mBdA pointed out, try putting things side by side rather then stack it all some have the easy donation thing stacked, others to the side go forthe "to the side" leaves you more vertical space for other things. this doesnt just apply to the easy donation thing.
lol i guess that makes alot of sense. mine was a triffle to big before, and i got a staff mesage in my sig to reduce the size, so ive done that and im also trying to shift stuff beside each other instead of stacking. okay i beleive u (have no reason not to) but could u tell me how to measure the pixels plz??
make a screenshot paste in photoshop take the rect selection tool select look in the info palette to read the size
