well that's what i didn't want to happen, good designers not entering/missing the entry date ; they should be auto entered to ensure that all the top sig designers at gr are in so it's not a false result at the end ; because who ever wins would have to beat all the top names to actually earn the right to be called the top sig designer of the year ; and one person i think has to be in it is Xed. I dont know how many good designers have missed out or just havn't entered, but all of them should be involved.

Okay, so why would you deny the "not-so-good" people the right to come in? Is it our fault that they didn't get to sign up? They had time, they knew when the it was time to sign up, and they should have remembered. Don't punish the community because some people are considered better then others.
But there still is the chance that they still might get in, some people might not join the competition.

Might I suggest something? Seeing as how it starts the day after tomorrow, PM everyone who has entered in the entry thread, and ask them if their still in, telling them that they must PM you before Wednesday to confirm their seat. For those who don't PM back, you have an X number of seats left, and have the people who want to come in choose a number, and those who get it get it, and those who don't, well, don't.

If there are members who forfeit and leave vacancies, I'll greatly enter. :P

But it doesn't really matter for me whether I join or not since I'm not a top-notch sig maker.

I just posted what went through my head when I was going through the final topics, and how I feel/felt about it is that I would need to beat all the top sig designers to actually earn the right to be called the sig designer of the year. And I am not denying the “not so good” sig designers the right to come in, it’s not my competition to do so, and I don’t have the right to decide who’s good and who’s not. I just summed up who I though was good by saying Xed, because he in my imo is the best sig maker, and everyone will have there own opinion on who is good and who’s not. Because there are a lot of people that are considered to be over-rated and that’s just a matter of opinion. I don’t want my earlier post to be seen as that I was talking about the most well known people should be entered, because I hate the popularity factor deciding how good someone is, and I would never bring the popularity statement into a competition that clearly states that popularity has nothing to do with the judging for this competition. My earlier post was off and I take it back, I just wanted to clear up what I meant and don’t want to be viewed as what I hate.

    Get what I mean?

Draven, you can take me out of the competition and someone else can fill in my spot. Sorry for changing so late.

Yea I get what you mean, but you still have to remember that everyone had a fair chance of signing up, and they chose not to. I understand to be the best, you have to beat the best, but maybe some of the best didn't sign up because they had things to do.
