I wanked a lot when I was sixteen, too, but I wouldn't go as far as too say I was less of a wanker than I am now.

I would go 1 month into the future where GR is updated, inverse is banned, and everyone is just having a grand ol' time.

I object. One month later you're banned for wising people banned Shadow. Inverse remains... etc.

I basically gave up. It's done. I'd held out hope for the longest time. this site's admin basically flushed it down the toilet. Not entirely their fault, but they did contribute. Things could've been played differently. Heck NOTHING could've been done

things that ------ed this site up

allowing credits to be sold for non graphics related things
    off topic
assholes as admin. I don't mean dementia either.
focus of the staff on mod actions over innovation. Warning and punishing members shouldn't really matter, nor should editing posts, what should matter is adding new content to attract new people.

things I'd do at this point
do away with credits all together
just delete off topic. Seriously, it's done enough harm
start focusing on bringing gaming news, getting gamers talking and coming here, then getting them into graphics.

Definitely agree, there's already a general, games/tech, and entertainment section which are really off-topic too. no need for separate section on non-sense.

Don't know why this wasn't done before. The site is called Game Renders.

I think it would be best to hold onto the credits system, but make it for graphics related things only. Also get rid of financial transactions between members for GFX work. That causes more problems for staff if there are issues of fraud/undone work.

Great ideas Xlink, but they're all ready to be implement.
We have suggested them long before, but the whole concept was to release all those things when we upgraded.

So to sorta list those things you mentioned:
    • Credit system was getting a revision.
No more credits for regular topics. Only credits for making resource topics. Replying would only give you a credit, if you replied to a resource topic or to a topic of someone showing his works.
So indeed, no more credits for general talk or whatever.
    • Off topic was planned to move
    • Gaming was planned to be brought back and to have a bigger emphasise on it in V4
We all know what's playing on the site and we do know what needs changing. The thing is just to get the go on when to put forth those changes.
And we all decided that V4 would be best for that.
Thing is just that the practical matter of upgrading has gone pretty much A-wall.
ANd I do apologize for the miscommunicating by creating topics that stated it would only take x-amount of days, but those were only made because that was to be the case. Never once did I actually know more about how long it was going to take than any of you. Which does sound like shit coming from an admin of course.

Ravr is right, I also completely agree with xlink there. Just don't want to blame the administrators here since the lack of communication and proper coordination is the reason for this, it isn't entirely there fault in all matters, just a few times when they said things which weren't going to happen or vice versa.

    We know.
Which is why there has been a total lack of communication towards V4 lately. Simply for the fact that we don't dare to make any assumptions towards it.
    Especially not now.
