Up to the creator really. I'm not really against either decision.

If you don't like them being sold, make your own and give them away free. Easy as can be. I know I got tired of putting hard word into making a tutorial and no one commenting or anything. Low and behold, when I started selling (and yes, I was selling tuts before Stott)... I did it not to make credits, but so that I would have a log of who had purchased the tutorial so I could receive feedback from them and make my tutorials better the next time around. Final point, it's up to the person who makes it really. :D

Stott, I think your full of yourself over a forum. Bragging that oyur the best tut maker, hey your good at what you do no chance in hell I wont tell you that. But your a stuck up inconciderate asshole, tutorials should be free the point is to help people, your not the best, people make better tutorials then you, and no you didn't sell the first tutorial.. You need to grow up its just the internet, your not making yourself look good by claiming your the "tutorial master"

Dude your Ego is bigger then your mouth. You wern't the first person to sell a tut, believe it or not. it is annoying when you give out a TUT and no one even looks at it or you get like 1 or 2 comments and u worked on it for a couple hours.

    Forum tags?
But as I said the work you make is one way or another derived from a tutorial. Saying they shouldn't be sold and then selling a sig yourself is retarted and you might aswell write hypocrit on your forehead.
    Same with selling a psd
you are basically selling a tutorial.

I think tuts should not be free. PSD's with learning rights should be free. LOL How can someone learn from a PSD if the seller doesn't even label it and is unorganized?

Hmmm, if GR does make a rule for tuts posted on this forum "must be free" then it would stick to the whole "come to GR to learn things" motto. Although it may lose members since some are greedy for credits or a simple rep... If that happens then I'm not really against that either. Although in GR's current commnutiy state of some selling and some being free, I think it's fine. I guess either decision has an up and down to it.

But anyways, if what I'm blabbing about isn't in GR's future then just ignore it. It's just a thought..

okay maybe there should be an on the fence option cause reading i dont think tuts should be free sounds like u dont care about others...selling PSD isnt really a TUT unless its called PSD TUT lol...umm but yea learning rights are kinda the same thing except no instructions lol...its like flying a plane without training...or drive without a map or lisence or...u get the point lol

i'm allowed to jokingly mess around with a friend (forum tags comment was a j-o-k-e unless you're too dense to realize)

i never said i was the best tutorial writer, in fact i explicitly recall saying that i think that hell's tut is the best you can buy.

also, i still do take full credit for all the tut for sale whoring going on in the marketplace. i'm sure a lot of people would agree that although i didn't write the first tutorial, my huge profit from tutorials inspired A LOT of other people to do the same.

I am strongly against it. I mean, the purpose of a tutorial is to help people... so why do you charge them, thus preventing the majority from seeing it?

why not sell them for like 5 or 10 creds... then people learn... and people get paid...

~Stott your tut was not detailed at all so stop bragging
