No i had to take one thing off and then put it back on.. Including my boxer. You think I enjoyed the assistant princaples and 4 police officers seeing my penis? Some idiot thought i had a gun cause i was carrying my brothers and my own cell phone and i guess it made a wierd shape? All i know is that i beat the living crap outta the nerd. Son of a bitch tried to get me in trouble for no reason just cause he hates normal people.

If they don't have like a ----ing search warrant on ur ass (literally.) then i don't see why they should do it. And if it is on the news or something and is known publicly the student can sue for damages (like when a magazine releases untrue things about a celebrity and causes that celebrity to lose a job worth a lot of $$$)

and im sure that if they had a contract that the student could be searched if they had a reasonable suspision or something then it would also include,"If suspected, the student in question may call his/her parent(s)/guardian(s) if he/she chooses too and the search will not begin until all parents/guardians are notified and have no acceptable reason for the search to be cancelled" Because if they don't, thats unconstitutional.

In some cases I suppose so but I still think it's wrong. My friend got stripped searched down to his boxers because they thought he had weed on him. He didn't and he wasn't allowed to call his parents

i find this to be ridiculous, i mean the kid had drugs thats nice, maybe they had the right to search his bookbag and his locker due to probably cause, if there were those amongst his peers confirming he had drugs, but a strip search...totally ridiculous, and the fact that he was refused a phone call to his parents is outrageous, if the parents had any common sense they could sue the school, if the child in question had been accused of having a deadly weapon then it would be a different story...

There were a couple cases in my school where people were stripped searched (same, just down to their boxers and they couldn't call their parents) and while I do agree with the practice, it's the school's decision, when we agree to go into the school we also agree to stipulations such as those

Ok I think this is totally moronic. What was there prove? A piece of grass on he's shirt? Still even if he did have any type of drug on him, you at least allow him to call he's mother/father. If I was going to get striped search I'd friging sue the school then sue the school system that allowed them to do it.

Well here's the basic legality of it for my state (NJ) as I understand it.

The school administration is NOT allowed to strip search you no matter what kind of suspicion they have on you. The most they can do is search your locker, bags or ask you to turn your pockets out (might be able to pat you down, but that's stretching it).

I don't think it's right to make you strip down for it. Like someone else said, they should just hold you there until proper authorities come and take you wherever.

Also, one other thing here. Your basic rights change when you're in school rather than being outside of school to begin with, so you can't really base everything off what would or has happened to you on the street.

Invasion of privacy, I'd say students shouldn't be allowed to be stripped searched.
