A boy was stripped searched at school and his mom was furious. He wasnt allowed to call his parents or anything. What is your thoughts on stripp searching students? Should or shouldn't students be stripp searched?

They shouldn't. It is an invasion of privacy. If they really need to though, the student should be allowed to call his parents atleast.

In a school ? Hell no.
And the fact that he wasn't allowed to call his parents was completely idiotic. Also, that would depend. Why was he searched ?

Forgive me , but what age are students nowadays ? I`m old you`ll have to excuse me

If my daughters came home from wherever they were and told me they had been strip searched and wernt allowed to call anyone , then the people who performed it , would no longer be living , but thats me being me

No i strongly disagree to that .

Well im not sure if the students at his school had to do this but at my school we had to sign a form that said something about the peers can check the students for any reason at any time. And to answer G72s question they said that the student was 17 years old.

I think it's wrong. Being a minor, you are guaranteed to have some form of representation, be it a lawyer, or a parent/guardian. They violated his rights and they broke the law when they prevented the student from calling a parent.

If I were his mother, I'd press charges against anyone involved and file a nice, fat civil suit.

Oh, did they find any drugs on the student? Or was the strip search even more unnecessary than originally thought?

Oh, and I am in total agreement with G72. If someone strip searched one of my children, I've got a .45 and a shovel that says they should've thought before they did what they did.

i think he should have been stripsearched if he was thought to have drugs BUT i highly disagree about the not having any representation

Like I explained earlier. If they would make every student to sign something saying that the peers(or teachers) had permission to basically do anything they wanted then they really couldn't press charges. Also im not totally sure if they found anything or not. I would know but if I did then id know what they were strip searching him for.
