from what I understand, he has only PCI slots.

he might have an AGP port though.

pop open your computer and look for an augmented brown slot directly above other slots.

should be like the brown slot in this one. it might be a diferent color...

or you might have gotten the "Dell Special"

see how there is a blank spot with what looks like metal soldering? well they cheeped out and didn't include an AGP port.

lol my parents are the kind that dont trust the internet.. There stupid and think its all scams and stuff. Anyways I also have another problem I cant even open my case.. I did everything the user guide said but it wont come off. Heres a picture. I'm sorry if its too small but its the only thing I could find. http://support.gateway.com/images/prod/hm_dtp.gif

well I was looking around and messing around with the options and saw that my graphic card was on a PCI bus. So does that mean I have PCI slots?

The one you're using now, yes. But there might be an AGP port, you should really try opening the case and look for it. AGP is so much better then PCI.

That's what they did to me :(
And for BF2, you'll need a Radeon 9800 and above.

ok well I went to the computer store and told me to bring in my computer and graphic card and they will install it. Anyways now I only need to worry about the graphic card. See anything good from future shop under 100 dollars?
That will play bf2, call of duty 2, warrock, and WoW. I dont mind if I have to set them on low detail or something. I just want to play them smooth.]

btw how do check how much computer power you have because I keep hearing stories that my computer will burn up or something if I dont have a good power supply for the card.

Well the store I went today told me to get this graphic card if I want to play bf2, WoW, and call of duty 2. It looks fine and the price is great for it. But its AGP so i'm not sure if it will work on my computer.. Anyways I'm also worried because its a 128mb graphic card. So was it made like that or should I only get 256mb graphic cards? Heres the link

yeah I would buy it off newegg but it have parents like mine you know they wont let you.. Anyways ok thanks. I found out that you have to smash case open with a screw driver well thats what the computer tech guy said so I'll have to ask him tomorrow. Btw newegg is a US site and there is no Canadian one so I guess I have to find one in a store.. Btw I cant find any radeon 9800's anywhere in ontario that are in stock :(
