Well I really need a new one badly since my old is crap. I went to future shop and some other stores and found out that future shop had the best price for it and it was in stock. Anyways is it worth it and will it work on my gateway computer? Btw this is a intel mother board so will there be any problems? Thanks PS. all AGP boards have PCI. i think you meant pci-e also 2.4GHz doesn't say much. My cordless phone is 5.8Ghz but it can't run minesweep 2.4GHz celeron sucks ass, 2.4Ghz core 2 quad is pretty damn nice....
intel is a company not a chip. a celeron d wa made by inel as are c2 quads is it a celeron d, a pentium 4(northwood) or a p4 (prescott) http://www.cpuid.com/cpuz.php that link will help
CPU is soemwhat weak. allright for source games but won't be playing oblivion all too smothely... i've heard of people with 3.0GHz opterons being CPU limited to 12FPS at points. to put that into perspective, an opteron is about 70% more powerful per GHz than a P4.
