Right ! this is my very first tut, so plz tell me what i need to improve
am not sure if any one ever posted this here ,

this tutorial will need u to have Image ready.

and what we going to make is this

    Step1

    take out a picture

    [IMG] i use this one

    2. we have to merge the text effects to one layer first, because the animation will not shine over the effects .so open a new document , make a trasperant background, and move ur text to the new document like this :

then Press "Ctrl+Shift+E" then u should have ur text merged, like below

when u have that, drage the merged text into ur picture, then u should have this

    3. now we need to make the shine, make a new layer, and choose ur gradient tool.use these settings

then make a gradint like this

next select the gradint layer, then press "Ctrl+G" then ur gradient disapares ,that is fine, now drag ur gradiant to the very left of ur text, u should get this

    4 . it's time to switch to ImageReady "Ctrl+Shift+M"

now ur at Image ready , u should see these

if u dont see the animation box, go to Window>animation

    5. now duplicat the frame in the animation box

6 . now it's time to drag the gradient acrose the text , select the gradint layer and click on the gradient on the picture like this

now drage that layer across the text untill the very end of the page, there is the animation nearly done

7, now time to make the the animation move :D

click on the tween button then u get this

    i used 15, u can use diffrent once but put between 15 - 25,

then ur DONE! now u can press play to see what u got
    [IMG]

to save it, go to File > Save Optimized
    Very well!

oK, well I'm the n0ob that's going to ask questions. When I make a gradient..it doens't look like that, my gradient is huge, not neat and small like yours. I had the same settings as you showed in the tut...but I got something different twice so what am I doing wrong?

^Well when you get the gradient tool just hold down on it and do a a nice thin stroke on your sig. (make sure you create a new layer before you use the gradient tool)

    it should be np

also remember his gradient went from top left to bottom right but you dont necessarily stroke it like that in the same direction. play around in how you stoke it, just make sure it's a thin line.

Nope, that's not helping any. It's not really a stroke on my gradient tool, it's a line. You take and make an anchor point, then drag it to another point and it fills in-between...

Yeah I have it set to that...I did exactly what I saw in the pick and my gradient takes up about half my sig..
