Shift+tab For Chatting Insteam Games Won't Work...

    When someone sends me a message on steam while I am playing TF2 I try to hit ----+tab but it just gets all messed up in the bottom of the screen and I can't say anything back. I don't know if it only does this in TF2 or all steam games because TF2 is the only one I play. Here is a screen shot of what im talking about.....

    Any idea on what causes this or how I can fix it?

    close steam, delete gameoverlay.dll & clientregistry.blob from the steam folder, restart and try

    Is your desktop resolution the same as ingame resolution? That may have something to do with it, cause it seems that its coming off your screen.
