well you already said your bg is too busy if you dont like an aspect of your work try some tutorials, its a great way to come up with some new ideas i like that you didnt cover up your focal, I can clearly tell where to look, but you could use a bit of work on your blending and bg could be simpler ^_^. Once you try a simple bg you'll probably notice right away that it feels alot emptier than your current tags, so after that you should try some effects ^_^
