ok i wan to say my opinion about this first before i post my evidence do u really think teaching kids to not have sex is working why not {since kids are already having sex} just teach them to use protection why not groce them out also anther way to prevent sex happeneing without protection I also think this is a parent problem not only the kids teenagers who dislike their parents relyon friends, cousins, siblings and girlfriend/boyfriend its their way of someone showing care for them who loves them and who they love anyways here some evidence http://www.avert.org/sexedu.htm they are already give sex ed to elementary school not such a good idea cuz then they have it in their mind forever http://www.likeitis.org.uk/ and why is sex so talked freely now a days kids hear everything u know why is sex so easy to find over the internet etc...theres more to it id like to hear ur guys opinions on this matter teach kids not to have sex or teach kids to use protection
I don't believe it's tought freely until HighSchool, really. In Junior High, they talk more about AIDs than anything else relating to sex. And 25% of the 7th grade students last school year were sexualy active. So uhh.. yeah. If they're old enough to have sex, they're old enough to know they should protect themself. And if they're too dumb to know to protect themselves, it's on them.
They don't teach not to have sex, you must go to a blockedistian School or something, like me. They do there, but in public high schools they teach to have protected sex.
Just teach to have protected. They know that whatever they say in the region of "Dont have sex" really isn't going to make any difference.
Anyways, our teachers hardly set a good example. The Deputy head was caught with a new sub teacher in the Janitors Room. He got suspended, woot.
teaching it in elemtary didnt just start, it was like then when i was grade 4, im grade 12 now. They dont really teach much cept the partts, and then you just laugh You're in the past or somethin bud, now they say its 1 alternative, and they just go on about using condoms and all that other jazz. ya you prolly go to c h r i s t i a n school
Yeah it is bit stupid cause it would only be used to put it on a banana or a fake doodle. Dont think schools are allowed they would need to confirm with the parents
They didn't teach me a damn thing in high school. I went to an all-boys Catholic High School and the closest they got to teaching about sex was telling us what crabs looked like. It's as if they assumed since it was a Catholic school, we wouldn't have pre-marital sex. Meanwhile at the dances they held in the gym (one male HS, four girl HS, good odds) half of the students were screwing each other in the hallways up on the top floor where no one went. The closest I got in grade school was eigth grade when some Asian kid made the mistake of telling the entire class about how he pissed himself when he was sleeping, but he didn't smell like piss. They brought in the health teacher from another class, and proceeded to embarass the kid even further than he embarrassed himself. Therefore in response to the question posed in the thread, in my case it wasn't really addressed at all. I learned everything I knew from watching Spice.
teach use of protection ftw mostly because telling teenagers to not have sex is like telling a kid to not look behind themself.
