Allright, i really need some help.

Since 3 or 4 weeks my computer is running slower then sh*t tru a gardenhose. And i dont know what it is. I uninstalled almost everything that i thought that could cause it being slow. But it wont work.

This comp is about 1 year old and its 3 ghz. I dont wanna say all the specs but i could run HL2 and CoD2 perfectly with MSN on, which is impossible now.

Does any of you has any tips or ideas of what could cause it?

PM me if you need to know more

(Creds may be given to the person that helps me enough to make it run good again. ow and buying a new comp ISNT a good answer)

Make sure you defrag your hard drive. Do a virus and a spyware scan in safe mode. If all else fails a fresh install does wonders.

Download Diskeep for defrag. Best one EVERR..really I love this thing xD. It's only a pro trial thing that u download but its worth it.

Download spybot s&d, webroot anti-spy or adaware for antispyware.

Download SpywareBlaster as a good tool to stop spyware before it reaches you, works well.

Download Ccleaner, clean whatever you dont mind removing junk from... and run the tool that cleans registry.

To go to an extreme, that I did, read this and stop some services:
    http://majorgeeks.com/page.php?id=12
I did that all in like, a week or so. One section a day for me.

    That'll be good.

btw, when using diskeeper, go to Options. Frag Sheild, Edit and choose the reccomended settings.

If all else fails i suggest reformating, my computer wouldnt even load half the crap, It took 20-30 minutes to start it =/ when i reformated it ran like a dream probably 1-2 minute start up time.

But i suggest reformating as a LAST resort but if you dont have the XP CD try system restore it MIGHT help.

so have you tried a virus scan a spyware and adware scan? try defraging and deleting tempory things with disk clean up and make sure you dont have loads starting auto when you start up,there might be something there that will be extreamly hard to find like a ghost adware programme etc
