Sequels vs. First Movie

First one. Example : Fast and the Furious.

 

Depends IMO

I just think its funny how everyone rushes to go see sequels, and when they say they don't like it, they get others to see it.

 

First movie. there are only a few sequals that I think are better than the first,

 

1st one, it's rare that a second would be better. Like Scary movie, the 1st one was hilarious, but the 2nd and 3rd ones..Meh, they were funny, but got corny real quick.

 

First Movies are usually the best, sometimes the sequels are better.

 

I'm pretty sure that terminator wasn't supposed to be scary....

But I think that originals are far superior to the sequels.

There really aren't any good sequels that have come out lately.

 

It really depends on the film, but I say sequels are better based on all the series of movies I've seen:

LotR - It just built up to a climatic finally with awesome effects and lots of action

PoC - The story and acting just keeps getting better and better

James Bond - The first ones just suck ass, casino royale was the HANDS DOWN best. Best actor, best script, and no gadgets (thank GOD)
~
Harry Potter - It becomes less like a kiddy movie and more like a teen film with each succesive title

Those really are the only movies series I've seen

 

It really depends. If they totally sidetracked from the original story then the sequel would suck.
