Senior Member Caught Ripping

this person takes from www.psdresource.com and pimps at www.GameRenders.net

A GR member who wishes to stay anonymous PMed me about the
Astaroth thread and the one with the bunch (luigi, sonic, green lantern)

I checked on his Mace render coz they have a lot of hiphop renders at PSDR.
and yes, its a match.
here's my rapport :

I don't see anything wrong with taking renders from over sites aslong as you say where you got them from and state that you didn't render them yourself.

i think that says it all.

we are greatfull for getting the renders, for "sharing" them, regardless of the source.
and we give peeps creds and sometimes even +rep for the work they've put in this.
the creds would be prolly less if you are sharing a source rather then actually did the render but it would still be appreaciated.

then it sorta stings when it turns out the person you cred and +rep
wasnt being really honest about it.
I dont think many are going to delete the renders from their harddrive but many will remember this incident.

ripping isnt worth loosing the respect.

hmmm this raises a very interesting question who ripped who did kami rip psdresource
or did psd rip sega off?

cause it does not matter a ripper is who takes a persons srtwork and claims it as his own kamikazie or stated he was working on so if i can go out and find the same image from a company site would you said i ripped it off too?


it like this every image on the net had to come from somewhere everyone who does not hand draw there images rip to render

like that wall paper of sonic i am very much sure PSDResource did not ask permission cause sega woulda have told them to left the copyright.

it is true that magazines or organisations have to ask permission to publish images.
but gamepublishers also have to ask to post any image on anything
also in a magazine they have to pay for it.
even if its just a stamp size image on the side of a busstop or
on the wall of a building.
all these sigs with gaming images is a game publishers wet dream :
free publicity directly to the group that are interested in gaming.
