Selling Brushes & Jessi Boi

Awhile back renders were disallowed from being sold, I'm not sure why but I can guess the reasons:
- Renderers trying to sell their own renders or
- complaints from people.

Recently, dA renders were outlawed as well, again the reasons were obvious, and also stated.

Why are brushes continuing to be allowed to be sold? I think if even they are allowed to be sold, strict rules need to be placed, and the person selling needs to show proof of EVERY pack they have in it, before being allowed.

Now, thats my rant for brushes, i'm sure someone can give a stronger point for disallowing selling other people's brushes, here's the main reason i'm posting:

jessi boi has stated several time's he was going on vacation, but keeping his brush pack shop open. He's been taking in credits from alot of people, and not sending links to his "best brush pack on the internet."

Everytime i mention this, or someone else does, he makes an excuse.

On the 9th he posted...

I'm posting this on the 14th; 5 days or 120 hours later, plenty of time to send a link and a password to someone.

This was the last list he posted, of who he owed what...

and just scrolling thru the last few pages after that, i'd say another 10-15 people have paid and received nothing.

Everytime someone mentions getting the link, jessi makes an excuse. Posted yesterday, after i spoke to him and he said he was sending links out in 3 hours:

I think the moderator and admin team should close his shop untill everyone has received the links, and no one is having trouble, because right now he's just sitting on a influx of credits, and sending out nothing.

This sounds really dumb, why not just give people what they want, its a 5min process to pm that many people.

if renders are not allowe/dev renders are not allowed, the brushmakers should sell their own brushes.

That is true. Why shouldnt I be able to sell other peoples renders? Does Jesse have permission from the brush pack owners?

 

I dont think you should be able to sell other peoples renders/brushes, make your own and sell them instead.

 

I too believe that you should not be able to sell other people's work. Has anyone actually seen written proof that jesse
even got permission from all the creators? I mean, he got rich off of nothing but downloading tons of brushes,
re-arranging them, and hosting them on them internet. If he can do such a thing, then why are we not able to do the
same with renders? If we claim that we have gotten all the creators consent, is GameRenders going to let me have my
own pinned topic with 20+ pages of me giving away other people's work? If so then I might as well host them now. As
for not sending out links, it's not that hard to PM a few people with links. Since your a premium member, you could easily
send 5 PM's at once. Not only that, the majority of those you could just copy and paste it into a new one, with the
exception of the non-pass rar's and the .zip.

That's why you could have my brushes free, i dont want to take benefits because other brushmakers did a brilliant job.

 

It was a good idea to close the shop, but he should also be stripped of about 90% of his creds since they came from brushes he ripped from da.

Granted, he did send me some creds a while back for having my brushes in his pack, but he never asked my consent if he could redistribute them.

It says clearly in da's tos that redistribution of resources found on devart is forbidden. And it has been aloowed here with this brush shop.....not cool. <_<

 

It is very wrong to sell someone else's work without permission. It is always a good idea to ask first I have asked a few people on GR if I can use their renders on my site. Some said yes under a few conditions and some said no.

He is just a lil scammer thinking he is smart.... thats all i say.

 

I totally agree But the paying part, I really don't care for, Because My credit's where free, I mean this by Posting, Me I love posting. It's fun and sharing your own good oponions, and talking to nice pplz. So Don't bother me much about paying..

clack is 100% right. he should be stripped of all of his credits also for doing all of that..... its kinda bull ----

 

does he use your brushes?
or you jsut cant stand that he is the richest?

anyway, shop should be closed. but totally stripping his credits...
i would say get rid of half, he got much credits from doing other ---- to.
and this discussion is without him.
