Haven't been using PS in over an half year and i forgot how to make an outline selection :shaggy: .
What i mean is , how do you get the dotted line around , for example , you render and other shapes in an layer .
You know what i mean ?

Not sure what you mean, but if you want to make a border then Ctrl + N to new layer, marquee the whole thing, right click and stroke.

If you mean to select the edges of a layer then you Ctrl+click the layer you want.

it depends on how much you are selecting

if you are Ctrl+Clicking on a layer with only a few pixels in it then the marquee won't show up but the layer will still be selected
