Security: McAfee Vs Norton

    everyone bashes McAfee! its done me just fine this year, im a former a2 user, i have Mcafee Internet suit, which comes with the firewall, virus, and optional spyware(thats crap dont use the spyware protecttor). if anything, at least get the mcafee firewall, i think its wonderful!

    Voted for other.

    McAfee pwns Norton, but here's what I use:

    Avast for AV, Sygate personal Firewall, and MS Spyware, S&D, and BulletPrrofSoft for Spyware.

    The best combo for free. (except for BPS... I actually bought that..)

    Dude norton is the #1 program for security on every magazine and site. I have it and it works fine.

    I would have to say Norton, but I have use a combination of different programs to secure my computer. ;)

    Yeah, it's good for taking up immense system resources, that's all it's good for. And you want to pay $50 a year? Avast is free. And his does a hell lot more than Norton does...

    Norton is overrated it does jack it doesnt find viruses when they there lying in your comp- I got the McAfee Internet Suite its got everything you need there - I also use SpywareDoctor, and MS AntiSpyware program :D I think McAfee pwns nortons as*

    I say McAfee... I had Norton for a little over a year and it did SFA for me... the instant I installed McAfee it found a bunch of crap that Norton apparenltly couldn't. But you've got to use a few diff programs to get the best security.

    McAfee is the best, no doubt. I use McAfee, Adware SE Personal and Adware SpyWare SE and they do the job.

    i had norton and it diddnt do well for me so i stopped using it and got Avast antivirus and ewido i think ewido is the best ever and its free

    ewido.com

    it says 14 day trial but its wrong its totally free you just wont have the on Gaurd but the scanner is awesome :)
