I dont of if it's a setting with Invision Boards (I know vb more), or w/e it is but I kinda find it annoying that you can't search for words that are like 3 characters long. Like I tried to search for Megan Fox, it wouldn't let me search cause fox is search. It would be nice if you guys could fix this.
Its built into the MySQL coding, it prevents it from running queries on the smaller words that *generally* don't need ot be included, like an, the, of, etc. However, although I do agree with you on how annoying it is, I do not know how to fix it, nor do I think any of the current staff do, if its even capable without extremely heavy modding.
Like dementia said, it's not built into Invision Power Board - but mySQL itself. I'm pretty sure vB is the sameway, and though there are some ways of changing it - it's not really a good idea. Allowing searches of 3 letters or less could severally lag the current server by spiking the processing power needed by GameRenders. Sorry, but we have to set the limit somewhere. Andrew
