No. I pretty much suck at doing what I'm supposed to for school. I normally do my homework in the class before it's due. I'd give advice, but I need it myself.
Make flashcards. Sound's childish in a way but they are fun, and will definatley get the point across.
lol, my problem is getting in the mood to study, I can pay attention in class, but when it comes to home, I forget about school completely.
well, I usually do my homewrok the minute I walk in the door. If I don't, it just keeps getting pushed off and pushed off, untill I eventually forget about it. Try to do the work ASAP. Maybe make a goal for yourself. For example, no watching tv or playing video games untill after all the homework is done. Hope this helps
if you really cant pay attention go get tested for ADD or ADHD. if you are theyll give you drugs like adderall
I really think the best way to study is to concentrate fully on it. No music, distractions, computer, anything at all. If I have to study at my house rather than the library, I turn my computer off. MSN, the internet, music...they are all demons that you must slay if you want to study well and internalize the material. You need to study, and study hard, when you're studying and when you're taking a break, you need to enjoy it and not spend it talking to your roomates/whatever about how much work you have to do. Then it doesn't feel like a break at all. I also think that people screw timing up. You should study for 2-3 hours, then break for a while. At least an hour. If you study less than that you're being unproductive and if you study more you won't concentrate well and you'll get less out of it. If you break more than that you'll get lazy and off track, but if you break less you won't have time to clear your head and feel like you're revitalized and ready to go again. That's just the way I feel about it. Obviously studying has a lot to do with time. You'll inevitably have to cruntch some stuff out and with so little time you'll have to change things, but overall I'd say that you need to zone in and go to town on the material for a couple hours, rest a bit, and hit it again. Make your work time feel like work and your break time feel relaxing, otherwise you'll always be in a constant limbo of half work. Popping on to the internet, looking at a site, talk on MSN, then read a bit, check the thread again, start a torrent dl, another MSN message comes up, read a bit more... Before you know it you've spent 2 hours not really working, so you learned little or nothing, and not really resting so you feel bored/strung out/tired. When you're trying to study, computers are the devil. That's just my opinion though. Sometimes you have no choice because you have course material online, so you just need to focus and make sure you have everything off except for the school stuff. Try it. I'll bet you'll do better in your courses and you'll feel like you know more off of fewer hours of studying.
Kinda what ever one else said. But stay away from the computer. And set a goal or your self, like finish all of your math home work in mabey 60 min. (that helps me) For studying go into a confrotable place. And have every thing you'll need/want close by. (tissues, pencile, paper, ect) So you don't have to get up and let your mind wander. to get in the mood, my mom yelling at me helps.
NO! Do not find a comfortable place!!! It becomes extremely easy to fall asleep, or day dream about other things. Try to go to a quiet place, preferably a library, and sit in one of the most uncomfortable chairs they have. They keep you awake, and make sure you dont drift towards other things, like conversations etc...
its different for everyone, like i can study for a big unit test the night before, while chatting on msn and doing all the crap, manage to sleep before midnight and still get something in the high 90s. for other people, some might perfer to be rid of all distraction (msn/music). but the most important thing is to know what to study. if you aren't sure whats going to be on a test, ask the teacher and clarify what needs to be done, and do that and only that. don't be sidetracked into studying something meaningless and won't be on the test because that's just a waste of time. if you feel that you can't study and more, take a break, watch tv, talk on msn, but make sure that you don't get carried away with that stuff or else you won't get any studying in.
no proublem man ihave the same proublem. just have that motivation in your head that that stupid classis going to get you somewere someday
