Well i'm sure that there are people here that said that Saddam really didn't have weapons of mass destruction. Well, please, read this. http://www.nysun.com/article/26514?page_no=1 It states that Saddam's 2nd official in the air force moved the WMD's to Syria in civilian aircraft. It's obvious how they managed to do it, not that it was in the plane, but how much time it to the UN to negotiate with Saddam. That gave him about 1 full year to move the weapons.
if they really had weapons of mass destruction, dont worry, we would have heard about it in the news, since it is "supposely" the mian reason why irak was invaded, it means those weapons were unusable, dismantled, old, or even unexistant... as for the article, this story doesnt state when the weapons were carried away, and the only person who knows they were is saddam hussein's #2, why would he say that? to prove to the court where he is being juged that he is guilty of possession of such weapons, or did he simply "dealt" a way to lighten his sentence?
dare I get into this quagmire.....? Suggesting Hussain didn't possess WMD is extraordinarily naive. Just because we didn't find them doesn't mean they didn't exist. It's like losing your car keys and just because you can't find them you think "well, gosh, I guess I didn't have a set in the first place, then". Nevermind planes, check out the footage of convoys of articulated vehicles crossing Iraq's border into Syria weeks before the UN was allowed in. Suggesting WMD didn't exist also doesn't address why Mr. Hussain kept the UN dancing before finally relenting and letting them examine. You think he did that for no other reason than principle? Well, I guess Saddam is notoriously a man of principles..... He must be laughing his socks off if he suspects the West thinks WMD didn't exist. A whole bunch of us standing around going "well, heck, we didn't place our hands on weapons the moment we left the airport, therefore it's physically impossible that WMD were ever in Iraq. We can't see them in this airport carpark, therefore they were never in the country. Incontrovertible evidence right there".
I doubt it. oil was the reason Bush wanted in. to loosely quote a comedian: if they had WMD, why'd it take 2 weeks to take over the whole country?
Not sure if its true that saddam did have wmd's or did not, either way, what's done is done, they already took saddam out.
Then why are my gas prices so damn high? And because well, if you read the article, they transported them to another country. They obviously knew that America would destroy the WMD's if found, so Saddam had them hid. Remember, Saddam wasn't going to use the bombs, he was going to hand them over to people like Al Qaeda, which would smuggle them into the America and blow it up in the middle of a city.
