Upon opening photoshop cs2 you dont just open 1 process. You actually open 4

3 of them [highlighted] are not actually needed.

Open your task manager and click image name, This will bring to the top the 3 processes that you do not need

Simply right click them and end process. The change is not drastic but it does help..

I see what ur doing, but those things don't use very much:
    180 k
    148 k
    204 k

Together, that is about 600 k. By closing 1 single Firefox or shutting down your Firewall, or MSN, it'll go much faster.

But its handy for the slower computers though.

every little helps..i try to run around 28 processes.

When finished with any program it is allways best to check your task manager to see if it still running after you have closed it. It gives you a quicker p.c and also will in the long run make your p.c run faster.

Stick to photoshop 7.0 Much better.

When I'm working at 2000x2000 my PS takes up around 200,000KB.

I use Photoshop 7.0. Does it work with it?

7.0 is very fast for me. And I don´t use my CS2, because it is damn slow.
