The Silent Motion usergroup is the only thing that allows you to have access to the SM crew subforum.

Of course it can be changed to a Ruby Member, but the access privileges to the Silent Motion crew subforum will be gone.

Couldn't you make a group that has the privillages of both the ruby and the crew , but the icon of the crew?

actually as far as i know, you can have both ruby and SM permissions. you can choose to have your ruby logo, or you can choose to have the SM logo visible to the public. there are a few members including myself that have both permissions but i dont wear the SM logo.

blizz you can choose which logo you want visible, but as far as i know you can and should have both user group permissions.

oh and to change your crew, just go into my controls and edit your profile, there should be an option to choose silent motion in a drop down menu. yours says Crew: None at the moment

    But check nifty's profile show:

His "group" is ruby, so his name turns red and his logo is Ruby member
but his "crew" is Silent Motion, so he's allowed to go to the SM forum

    and that's how I want it ;)

EDIT: ok thanks RxBandits ^^ edited that

Ah yes, my bad. Forgot about that :)

Actually, unless there is now some feature to manually give a member access to some subforum, in the (sub)forum permissions menu it IS based on usergroups ;)

the admins manually add crew members to the SM usergroup, so its not something a member could just change in their profile to get access. your primary usergroup is the group that people see you are in, and the secondary one is all about permissions.

so no need for any non staff members excluding blizz to post because this has been sorted, we just need to wait for an admin to change it for you blizz.

its been the same way for other groups i've noticed, some of the other guys lost their name-highlight when they joined a crew and got it setup to be their user bar~ just throwin that out there
