Use the reset button every once in awhile... for router and modem.... buy a top of the line router... and make sure you have good cables.... get a fast internet connection.. then their you have it... lol

    Wrong,

Use this list to find your router, admin login and password.
    http://www.otosoftware.com/wwhelp/Default_...d_Passwords.htm
To access your router type your router ip in your web browser and replace the last 3 numbers with 1.
Look through the tabs and youll find a tab that says "Port Fowarding" and now comes the easy part. Type in the port you want open and make sure you check off enable and your done.

You have to click the advanced tab and it will be the second tab to your right as you click advanced to change that.... erm... if that is what you are not getting.

Well if you havent got it now i can explain it more in depth,
I have the same type of router so this will be easy.
    1. Open up your web browser
    2. type in your ip address thats given to you by your router and replace the last octet with 1. (most likly 192.168.1.1 for linksys)
    3. It will present you with a login, just type in "admin" without the quotes in the password and hit enter.
    4. Once in your router options click the advanced tab. (it should be on the top right and be yellow)
    5. Then find the tab saying "Fowarding".
    6. When you hit that tab you can put in the port your want open.

The following image is an example of what it should end up looking like
