Router Issue

    alright well I Got a new Router and Now It Displays full bars but when im like 20 feet away from it it drops my connection and it goes off and on and Now Im stuck on what to do

    There may be multiple things going on here. The first id say would be some sort of interference. Do you have a wireless phone which operates at the same frequency? Are there any metal doors, etc?

    Try updating your routers' firmware to the latest version. Is the wireless card you are using fully compatible with the router?

    One thing i have seen that has happened before... Is make sure your WEP key is correct or WAP key which ever you are using.

    turn the power off and wait about 15min or reset ur modem/router w/e and then unplug all enthert cords plug everything back in / turn on everything and it should work and what kind of router r u using?

    I doubt that is correct in this case... His wireless network works fully its just that it drops when he goes 20ft away from it. If his encryption key was incorrect, the network wouldnt even work to begin with....

    What brand is your router?

    Mine has been doing something similar I think.. According to my laptop, it has an 'Excellent Connection' however it wont load any webpages.. I believe it has something to do with the ISP rather than the actual router though..

    Which ISP do you use, if you dont mind me asking?
