I dont really understand how to do the part in the beginning with photshop to get the black and white picture. Do i need to make a new layer and set it to overlay or color overlay at ther blending settings?

ok it is very simple to do.......have your render selected then add a new layer and create a clipping mask from the previous layer.......then you just paint over the render.....when you save it as a jpeg it will automatically have the white bg

yea the problem is the texture
all diffrent logo's have diffrent texture size's
you need to manually edit the size of the texture
to make it fit with your cutout
