Rotating 3d Shield With Emblem

On the pasting images as a texture.....I just used the 'rezize texture tool' to scale it up . There are three texture correction tools (three blue things bottom left) the other 2 are rotate and position texture.

images have died, cant tell what to do from the text, poorly explained !

 

ok i cant see the pictures that are supposed to be there but i did do this without them ...
now all i need to know is how to paste the texture onto the front face
of the thing instead of it pasting itself to the whole thing ?

any help would be appretiated
