So my bro just bought an elite and we have been trying to rip music onto it, but we've had little luck(only been able to rip 3 CDs, all of which are "official" CDs). I've been trying to rip burnt CDs onto it but none of them want to work, I just get the circle with the slash in it. I've tried to rip from a Zune, a flash drive, my computer but all have failed(I guess you can only stream from them).

So I was wondering if any of you know how to get the CDs to work. They were burned using Windows Media Player I believe(I dunno which version cuz my bro's friend did it for him), all the files are WMAs. Please don't suggest just streaming music to it, the whole reason he got the elite was so he could hold lots of other media on it too.

The CD brand and type is Memorex CD-R btw.

I have no idea whats the problem if u guys used windows media player but yeah. Just open windows media player go to ripping place (where u can burn to cd) just put ur cd in then place ur files there and then just burn them, it takes time but then they are in the right file so they can be saved into X0 hard drive. But you guys did like that so i have no idea. Or u can just buy real CDs and rip them on hard drive

Already tried that :(. Anyone know of a way to manually update your Xbox 360? 2 people said that worked for them on Yahoo! Answers.

Maybe try MP3's instead of WMA?

I'm going to try another burned CD of a different brand and see if that's the problem first and then I might try that since another person suggested the same thing on another forum.

    I've seen that 360's won't play lossless WMA's.
