SC2-Portal Forum Graphics Contest

So I had two other threads for requests but I decided I should just consolidate them all into one since I'm adding on more graphic contests.

The graphics that I am looking for are going to be used to customize my vRocking skin for my Starcraft II forum at http://www.sc2-portal.com. I'm looking for Starcraft II themed graphics that would tie into the whole war/space/tech/alien theme of the game.

The Categories

There are many different categories for which I will award prizes to the winner. The categories are as follows:

• Forum Banner -- You MUST edit the following images for the banner that you submit. Simply create a design within the top and bottom border. Keep in mind that you need to "fade to" a color as the image moves toward the right in order to blend into the stretch images that adjust according to the fluid skin:

  The banner should be themed to Starcraft II of course, with nice eye-catching text that says "SC2PORTAL" in larger font with the tagline "Hell, it's about time"
• SC2Portal LOGO -- The logo I would like to look metallic or futuristic. Something along the looks of the official SC2 Logo/text would be a good place to start, but I'm open to any interpretations I think fit the theme of my forum. In terms of the actual composition of the logo (what letters, numbers etc) I will leave to the artists discretion. Please make the logo 500x500 pixels to allow for flexibility in resizing the image. I am looking for a very very nice and kickass logo, so the reward for this category is high, but so are my expectations.
  
• Favicon -- This can be a modified version of a logo that you submit if it looks good. This is pretty straightforward, should somehow depict SC2 or SC2P ("sc2portal").
• Thread Icons -- Looking for customized thread icons that match the current skin of the forum. When I say "thread icons" I refer to these:
  
  
  
  I am looking for a full set to replace all the icons in the image above.
• My personal Admin avatar -- This is an avatar I will use for myself. This avatar will appear on all my posts and on my news posts on the front page portal. I'm looking for something that depicts Jim Raynor (marine) one of the heroes of SC. The text should read simply "Raynor". The following is a quick avatar I threw together just for placeholder sake:
  
  
  
  The avatar you submit should be the same dimensions.
• My personal Admin signature -- Same as above except as a signature. The signature should be Starcraft themed and be 500x150 (450x150 is acceptable). This is pretty much straightforward.

The Prizes

The following are the credit prizes I am awarding to the winner for each category:

• Forum banner -- 2,500 CREDITS
• SC2Portal LOGO -- 5,000 CREDITS
• Favicon -- 500 CREDITS
• Thread Icons -- 1,000 CREDITS
• Avatar -- 500 CREDITS
• Signature -- 1,500 CREDITS

Bonus Prizes

The following are bonus credit prizes that I will award to winners that qualify:

• Winner of 2 categories = 500 BONUS Credits
• Winner of 3 categories = 1000 BONUS Credits
• Winner of 4 categories = 1500 BONUS credits
• Winner of 5 categories = 2000 BONUS credits
• Winner of ALL categories = 4000 BONUS credits

I am offering these bonuses to provide incentive for people to try and design a complete set of matching graphics.

The Time Limit

I am running this contest from August 31, 2007 to September 10, 2007. The best submissions by the end date win, or if I see any exceptional images or an exceptional FULL package I will end the contest earlier. I will also end the contest earlier if I feel there will be no further submissions.

The Rules

• All work must be your own (excluding renders)
• You MUST submit your entries in this thread. I won't accept submissions via PM (or I will post any PM'd submissions for all to see)
• I am looking for full .psd rights from the winners, so if you aren't comfortable with this then don't submit!

@ Speed: thanks for your entry! Unfortunately I'm not loving the logo and geometric styles that you are using. It looks a lot like a logo I'd see for a Science Lab company or something, not really very "Starcraft II".

Perhaps you can give it a second go?

Where is the " s " in "star craft " on the header?

 

I purposely left it out. sort of the style. im going to remake everything, i need some examples of what he wants though.

Starcraft II Features

Look at the "Terran" button (the one with the guy standing with the gun) and look at the symbol above the "TERRAN" text. I want something like that style. That kind of grungy, metal look. Kind of like the Starcraft II logo itself at the top center of the linked page.

You know I've seen a starcraft ipb skin. maybe you should use that to accompany your site.

I am not interested in previously made skins. I am looking for unique graphics to give my site a little but of a customized look
