Reputation Suggestions

YET AGAIN, NOTHING IN THIS THREAD IS RELATED TO MY -REPS OR MY WARNING STATUS, THIS IS RELATED TO HOW THE REP SYSTEM IS USED BY THE COMMUNITY

 

I read a few lines of what you typed and I kinda agree, but when you said you get --rep by other who view the thread, thats seems pointless imo because it has nothing to do with them

 

heres a better idea, leave it as it is, its causeing no problems, it doesnt take much wrk for a G mod to check to see if its a valid rep. or not. Why change somethin thats causeing no problems. Its a dded feature that people can use at the site, kinda another little attraction. it sounds to me that you dont like the system because people have probably -repped you for reasons that you think are invalid but the staff member who revealed the thread disagreed with you and you arent happy with it, you want it gone.

 

Because it can be easily changed to where it is easier for the mods.

And actually, i have never been WRONGLY -repped, except from a fight with a few people a while back.

I will accept any -reps i recieve.

the rep system is there so people can see that uve done wrong, if it takes you 2 times to do somethin wrong people will be more encouraged to do things twice or more.

theres no way a mod can define a revenge rep. people can -rep each other for seperate incidents

Ok fair enuf but sometimes your reputation deserves to be smashed for somethings that are said, say you are racist to someone, you can piss off alot of people and only 1 of them can -rep you? what about the others that uve insulted, they deserve to give you some sort of punishment

 

Read the last idea about the point rep system, I know that idea 2 isnt amazing.

If the problem persist, and they constantly do the same thing, then you could contact a mod to give them a warning.

Rep is only for small fights and or issues.

 

I'll be honest when I say your ideas are flawed.

The rep system is supose to earn you respect. Its a way of saying more or less who was been a "good member" vs being a "bad member"

And I'll note this:

Read what you posted that one act was extreamly disrespectful.

Read what you posted before saying that one act isn't worth a minus rep

And

I didn't mind the 1st time.

But you just starting spamming his aution and flaming it.

If you saying that if I went and did that and its not worth a minus rep then your not seeing the point of rep.

I understand you may have been "testing" but in all honesty what you say and what you do are alot differently. In all honesty....the rep shouldn't matter so much. I've gotten a few reps that I'm not sure why they repped me but they did.

You ideas are okay But it doens't work.

They would have to re-code the rep system for your ideas to be vaild and simply i doubt anybody has or wants to do that.

Good idea but hard to use.

Idea 2:

A mod can see whats fit and what not. Most revange reps are like this "SPAMMER" and they where just using a regular post.

But as for real reps most of them stay.

I never said any of the reps are invalid.

I said a lot of them were from ONE incident.

Im just saying people should have more than one chance, and not get a full -rep for saying something out of hand on incident.

 

Tbh...I scene people get -15 reps for one thing.

They are still there to this date.

That 1 thing wasn't a small thing either(what you did)

You went into somebody else aution and had no right to start flaming them and insulting the tag.

 

I don't think theres anything wrong with the rep system.

 

Way too many flaws with most of the ideas you would like implimented, and as far as I see, there is currently no problem with the reputation system.

Let me point out one of the countless flaws:

How about if that person affected a mass amount of people? As in, it affected more than one person. That's just one example, I could spend hours typing other problems I see with the suggestion. Sorry to break it to you, but I doub't the staff would want to re-create the reputation system, as it's fine the way it is at the moment.
