Rules of the Rep Abuse subforum:

I saw that AM Nielz made this thread: Click

That actually made me thinking. The punishment (rep removed and fined 50 credits) is way to soft, because after that they still can continue plus repping themselfs.
I think that when people are found guilty of rep abuse that they need to lose the ability to +/- Rep whatsoever (and fined ofcourse).

Just a suggestion, because maybe then people will think twice when considering to abuse the rep system.

nah, its not like you "accidently" abused the rep system. So 1 strike is out, or maybe 2, but 3 is to much.

1 warning and than out. I believe in 1 last chance, but once they break it twice.. there is no doubt they will do it again.

    Snipe. ;)

I dont think the mods wanna go ip check everybody and remove all the reps they gamve themselves, I dont think that is necessary. Also, there is a chance of someone having siblings, and other cirumstances.

as for -repping, people have different ideas about what deserves a -rep, if they think it's justified, they shouldnt be punished more than any other abuser. but there si a limit....

sushiguy, you don't know what we're talking about do you?
    - We weren't talking about ip's etc. we were talking about obvious and clear people who -rep themself, like the example i posted in the thread linked
    - Your second point has nothing to do with the topic.

If people are actually [+]repping themselves from other accounts, that really doesn't need a second chance.

If its just normal re abuse, thats different, I agree there should be strikeouts.

However, you don't accidentally [+]rep your own account.

We actually take away peoples ability to rep people at al when they are found to repeatedly abuse the reputation system.

well i just read the rules heres what BFT had to say

No reputation abuse; reputation is a way to judge a persons character on the forum. Worthless [minus] or [postive] reputations will be removed, and fines, suspensions, or even bans will be given out.
